What is Forcan?

Forcan belongs to the group of antiparasitic, anti-infective, antifungal and antiviral drugs. Forcan medicine originated from India. Forcan contains the main active ingredient is Fluconazole. 

Forcan is recommended mainly for vaginal/vulvar candidiasis, Coccidioides immititis or Cryptococcus neoformans meningitis. The active ingredient Fluconazole belongs to a new group of synthetic antifungal drugs called Triazol, capable of inhibiting cytochrome P450-14-α-demethylase enzymes and blocking the synthesis of ergosterol in fungal cell membranes. This helps to change the permeability of the fungal cell membranes, while also assisting in the release of substances such as potassium or amino acids and reducing the absorption of precursor molecules such as pyrimidines or purines into the fungal cells.

How to use?

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Forcan 150 Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

If you miss a dose of Forcan 150 Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Breast Feeding

Can I take Forcan-150 tablet while breastfeeding?

A:

Fluconazole in Forcan-150 tablet passes into human milk. Breastfeeding can be continued after a single dose; however, if you are taking this medicine repeatedly or in high doses, breastfeeding is not recommended.

Driving

Can I drive if I have consumed Forcan-150 tablet?

A:

You may experience dizziness or fits while taking Forcan-150 tablet. If you experience any of these, you should not drive or use any tools or machines while taking this medicine

Alcohol

Q:

Can I consume alcohol with Forcan-150 tablet?

A:

Avoid excess alcohol while taking Forcan-150 tablet, as alcohol may worsen the side effects like dizziness.
